Johannes van der Merwe, a South African gold prospector, well-known for his discovery of the world’s largest gold nugget, has gone missing!
According to Mr Fortlet, Johannes’ business partner, Johaness has been out of reach for at least 7 days. Johannes was unmarried and has no children and was slightly “eccentric” and protective over his private life, as described by Mr Fortlet.. Many people believe that Johaness has hidden his discovery (the gold nugget currently valued at over R200 million) like a treasure and has left clues to it, leading to masses of people entering Johannesburg, in an attempt to crack the mystery and recover the gold.
The FBI has issued an international arrest interdict for Antoniette, as she is believed to have information about Johannes’s disappearance. However, with the limited information, they have not succeeded in tracking her down. The FBI has also failed to break through Johannes’s office, which was recently discovered in Johannesburg. Johannes has constructed many puzzles and mysteries in his office (probably to prevent intruders from gaining access to his office), which the FBI is struggling to solve.
