It is the 27th of May 1942 and Europe is in the midst of the biggest conflict of all time. It has been five months since the first transport to concentration camp Terezin. The Germans are approaching Stalingrad and in Prague the Reich Protector R. Heydrich has just assassinated.

The Secretary of State K. H. Frank orders a night curfew and the Gestapo is ready to arrest anybody looking even a little bit suspicious. The whole city trembles in fear.

In these dark times you find yourself in a small flat in Prague owned by Pavel Nový, who has just been taken away by the Gestapo. Pavel has nothing to do with the assassination, but he is hiding a secret far more superior, that must stay secret. Discover Pavels secret and escape the flat, before it’s too late.

And don’t forget your umbrellas, a storm is coming…

The “Operation Anthropoid” exit game has a nice atmosphere, you really feel like visitor in some Prague apartment during the Second World War. The story is inspired by real historical events. It’s not a technological game, but for the topic it is good choice. The linear character of the game is a little bit difficult to handle in a large number of tasks in the entire apartment during 60 minutes. In addition, some tasks already seem to be solved, but there may be something missing, what you find later. What seemed to be the most complicated cipher, it was not necessary to solve it. One cipher worked inaccurate, and although we had some idea of what was going on, we were unable to finish it without help. Another cipher contained misleading elements. It was mostly a classic system lock – code – key. There was also one skill puzzler, but it is a thing that is commonly available in stores, so we’ve met with it earlier. I can recommend this game, especially for foreigners it brings a bonus in showing a piece of Czech (Czechoslovak) history.
